The book of Genesis is filled with popular Bible stories. Last week, we read about the creation through the calling of Abraham. This week, we will read about Abraham’s obedience, Issac and Rebekah, Esau’s birthright, the blessing of Jacob, Jacob and Laban, Leah and Rachel, Jacob wrestling with God, the revenge against Shechem, and many stories about Joseph. It sounds like a lot, but it is interesting reading with lots of conflict and drama! Aren’t you glad that God is a forgiving God? The people in the Bible aren’t perfect, and neither are we!
