A Prayer for Boldness and Guidance in Sharing Your Faith

Acts 1:1-11 - A Prayer about Taking Action in Missionary Work

A Prayer

Dear God,

When you instructed the disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit and then go out and teach the world about you in Acts 1:1-11, what do these instructions mean for me? This does not seem to be something that the disciples could have completed in their lifetime, so it appears that this task has been passed down to all Christians, including myself, and I want to fulfill it to the best of my ability.

Help me to be bold in my faith, sharing your love with the world. As I read your word, allow it to soak into my being and transform me from the inside out. Give me understanding as I read the Bible, wisdom as I process the information, and words as I interact with others.

I trust in your perfect timing and ask that you would direct me to the most needed scriptures at the most needed times. May your love and light shine through me, and may others be drawn to you through my words and actions.

Thank you for your grace and mercy, and for the privilege of being a part of your mission to bring hope and salvation to the world.

I pray this in Jesus name. Amen.
