For the month of March, we will focus our prayers on trusting God’s timing, seeking God’s guidance, growing in faith, and living out love. Each week, we will dive into scripture that highlights these themes, offering insights and encouragement to draw closer to God. As we meditate on his word and align our hearts with his will, let this time of reflection strengthen our relationship with him and inspire us to live out our faith with trust, purpose, and love. Whether in seasons of waiting, decision-making, or embracing his plans, may we find peace in knowing that God is always faithful and at work in our lives.
ACTS Prayer Method
Each day, consider taking the suggested topic and praying using the ACTS method: Adoration, Confession, Thankfulness, and Supplication:
- Adoration: Praise God. Does this topic bring any specific characteristics of God to mind?
- Confession: Tell God that you are sorry for specific sins. Does this topic bring any specific sins to mind?
- Thankfulness: Show gratitude towards God. Does this topic inspire gratitude?
- Supplication: Make requests for yourself and for others. Does this topic inspire a prayer?

Days 1-7: Trusting God’s Timing
Life often challenges our patience and faith, especially when we face uncertainty about the future. In these devotions we will reflect on God’s sovereignty over time and his perfect plan for our lives. As we meditate on these scriptures, we should allow them to deepen our trust in God’s timing and teach us the value of waiting faithfully and courageously. Let’s trust that every moment, whether joyful or challenging, has a purpose in God’s divine timeline.
March 1: Trusting in God’s Sovereign Timing
- Bible Verse: “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” – Ecclesiastes 3:1 (ESV)
- Context: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 speaks about God’s sovereignty over time and seasons in life. These verses remind us that every moment is part of his divine plan, even when we don’t fully understand it.
- Prayer: Lord, help me to trust in your perfect timing. Teach me patience and faith as I wait on your plans to unfold.
March 2: Waiting with Courage
- Bible Verse: “Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” – Psalm 27:14 (ESV)
- Context: Psalm 27 is a song of confident trust in the Lord’s protection and provision in a time of difficulty. Verse 14 concludes with a call to wait on God with courage and strength.
- Prayer: Father, give me courage as I wait on you. Strengthen my heart to trust in your promises and not rush ahead of your will.
March 3: Letting God Direct Our Steps
- Bible Verse: “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” – Proverbs 16:9 (ESV)
- Context: Proverbs 16 offers wisdom about submitting plans to the Lord. Verse 9 reminds us of God’s ultimate control over our lives.
- Prayer: Lord, as I make plans, align my heart with yours. Guide my steps and establish my way according to your purpose.
March 4: Renewing Strength in the Wait
- Bible Verse: “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” – Isaiah 40:31 (ESV)
- Context: Isaiah 40:9-31 speaks of the greatness of God, with verses 28-31 offering comfort to those feeling weary. These verses remind us of God’s endless power and provision for those who place their hope in him.
- Prayer: Father, as I wait on you, renew my strength. Help me rise above challenges with faith and perseverance in your unchanging promises.
March 5: Trusting God with Our Times
- Bible Verse: “My times are in your hand; rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from my persecutors!” – Psalm 31:15 (ESV)
- Context: In Psalm 31, David expresses trust in God’s deliverance and timing, even in the face of severe difficulty. Verse 15 affirms God’s control over every aspect of our lives.
- Prayer: Lord, I place my life in your hands. Deliver me from fear, and let me rest in the assurance that you hold my future securely.
March 6: Humbly Trusting God’s Timing
- Bible Verse: “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:6-7 (ESV)
- Context: 1 Peter 5:1-11 gives a set of instructions to the elders of the church, with verses 6-7 encouraging humility and reliance on God. These verses remind us that he will lift us up at the right time.
- Prayer: Father, teach me humility as I wait for your perfect timing. Help me trust that you will lift me up according to your good purpose.
March 7: Trusting in God’s Patience and Promises
- Bible Verse: “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” – 2 Peter 3:9 (ESV)
- Context: In 2 Peter 3, the apostle Peter addresses the apparent delay of Christ’s return, reminding believers that God’s timing reflects his patience and desire for all to turn to him.
- Prayer: Lord, thank you for your patience. Help me to see delays not as obstacles, but as opportunities for growth and alignment with your will.
Days 8-15: Seeking God’s Guidance
Life’s decisions, big or small, can leave us longing for clarity and direction. These days focus on seeking God’s wisdom and allowing his word to guide us. Scripture assures us that God is always present, ready to instruct and lead us. By committing our plans to him and listening for his voice, we can find peace and assurance in following his path. When we open our hearts to his guidance, we can experience the blessing of walking in step with our Creator.
March 8: God’s Word as Our Guide
- Bible Verse: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” – Psalm 119:105 (ESV)
- Context: Psalm 119 celebrates God’s word as a source of guidance and wisdom. Verse 105 highlights the illuminating power of scripture in life’s journey.
- Prayer: Lord, guide my steps through your word. Let it light my path and direct me in your truth each day.
March 9: Asking God for Wisdom
- Bible Verse: “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” – James 1:5 (ESV)
- Context: James 1:2-18 speaks about the testing of our faith and the need to seek wisdom amid trials, emphasizing God’s willingness to provide guidance when we ask in faith.
- Prayer: Father, I ask for wisdom in every decision I face. Lead me by your Spirit and grant me discernment to follow your will.
March 10: Committing Our Plans to God
- Bible Verse: “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” – Proverbs 16:3 (ESV)
- Context: Proverbs 16:1-9 teaches about submitting our efforts to God, trusting that he will align our plans with his purposes.
- Prayer: Lord, I commit my work to You. Help me to trust in your guidance and walk in the plans you establish for me.
March 11: Finding Joy in God’s Path
- Bible Verse: “The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.” – Psalm 37:23-24 (ESV)
- Context: Psalm 37 contrasts the fate of the righteous and the wicked, encouraging trust in God’s direction for those who delight in him.
- Prayer: Father, establish my steps and lead me in your ways. Help me find joy in following you daily.
March 12: Trusting God’s Instruction
- Bible Verse: “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.” – Psalm 32:8 (ESV)
- Context: Psalm 32 is a psalm of forgiveness and restoration. Verse 8 assures us of God’s personal instruction and guidance for our lives.
- Prayer: Lord, thank you for your promise to guide me. Teach me to trust your counsel and follow the path you set before me.
March 13: Trusting Over Understanding
- Bible Verse: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” – Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV)
- Context: These verses from Proverbs 3 emphasize reliance on God rather than human understanding, promising his direction when we trust and honor him.
- Prayer: Lord, I trust in you with all my heart. Help me to surrender my understanding and follow the straight paths you prepare for me.
March 14: Listening for God’s Voice
- Bible Verse: “And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.” – Isaiah 30:21 (ESV)
- Context: Isaiah 30 speaks of God’s mercy and guidance for his people, even when they stray. Verse 21 assures us of his continual direction.
- Prayer: Father, open my ears to hear your voice clearly. Guide me in the way I should go, and help me walk faithfully in your direction.
March 15: Trusting God’s Plans for Our Future
- Bible Verse: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” – Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV)
- Context: In Jeremiah 29, God speaks through Jeremiah to the exiles in Babylon, assuring them of his plans for their ultimate restoration and hope. This verse reminds us to trust in God’s long-term plans.
- Prayer: Lord, thank you for the plans you have for my life. Help me trust your purpose and walk forward in the hope you provide.
Days 16-24: Growing in Faith
Faith is the foundation of our relationship with God, but it is also something that needs nurturing and growth. These devotions center on building a stronger faith through God’s word, trust in his promises, and a life lived by belief in unseen truths. As we journey through these days, we should let our faith deepen, inspiring confidence, courage, and hope in the Lord’s unfailing love and faithfulness.
March 16: Faith Through Hearing God’s Word
- Bible Verse: “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” – Romans 10:17 (ESV)
- Context: Romans 10 emphasizes the importance of both proclaiming the gospel and hearing the word, which builds faith in believers.
- Prayer: Father, increase my faith as I immerse myself in your word. Let it deepen my trust in Christ and shape my life according to your will.
March 17: Walking by Faith, Not Sight
- Bible Verse: “So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight.” – 2 Corinthians 5:6-7 (ESV)
- Context: In 2 Corinthians 5, Paul contrasts earthly and eternal perspectives, encouraging believers to live by faith in God’s promises.
- Prayer: Lord, help me walk by faith and not rely solely on what I see. Strengthen my trust in your unseen plans and eternal purposes.
March 18: Assurance in God’s Promises
- Bible Verse: “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1 (ESV)
- Context: Verse 1 introduces the “faith chapter,” highlighting the lives of those who trusted in God’s promises despite not seeing their fulfillment.
- Prayer: Father, give me assurance in what I hope for and confidence in what I cannot see. Let my faith grow stronger each day.
March 19: Pleasing God with Faith
- Bible Verse: “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” – Hebrews 11:6 (ESV)
- Context: Hebrews 11:6 is another verse in the “faith chapter” and emphasizes that faith is essential for a relationship with God, motivating us to seek him earnestly.
- Prayer: Lord, I believe in you and your goodness. Help me seek you wholeheartedly, knowing you reward those who draw near to you.
March 20: Trusting God’s Faithfulness
- Bible Verse: “But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.” – 2 Thessalonians 3:3 (ESV)
- Context: In 2 Thessalonians 3, Paul encourages believers to trust in God’s faithfulness and protection against spiritual opposition.
- Prayer: Father, thank you for your faithfulness. Strengthen and guard me as I grow in faith and stand firm against the challenges I face.
March 21: Living by Faith in Christ
- Bible Verse: “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” – Galatians 2:20 (ESV)
- Context: Paul writes in Galatians 2:15-21 about justification by faith, emphasizing that believers’ lives are transformed by their union with Christ.
- Prayer: Lord, thank you for living in me. Help me to live each day by faith in your love and sacrifice, letting my life reflect your grace.
March 22: Saved by Grace Through Faith
- Bible Verse: “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” – Ephesians 2:8-10 (ESV)
- Context: Ephesians 2 explains that salvation is a gift from God, not earned by works but received through faith, to display his grace.
- Prayer: Father, thank you for saving me by grace through faith. Let my life always reflect gratitude for the gift of salvation you have freely given.
March 23: Standing Firm in Faith
- Bible Verse: “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.” – 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (ESV)
- Context: Paul closes 1 Corinthians with practical exhortations, encouraging believers to stand firm in their faith and live courageously in Christ.
- Prayer: Lord, help me stay alert and strong in faith. Give me courage and strength to face challenges and remain faithful to you.
March 24: Overcoming Through Faith
- Bible Verse: “For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” – 1 John 5:4 (ESV)
- Context: In 1 John 5, John explains that faith in Jesus as the Son of God is the source of victory over worldly challenges and sin.
- Prayer: Lord, thank You for the victory that comes through faith in you. Strengthen my trust in you as I face the trials of this world.
Days 25-31: Living Out Love
Love is at the heart of our faith, reflecting God’s character and transforming our lives. In this section, we will explore what it means to love God and others with a sincere and selfless heart. As we meditate on these verses, let’s embrace love as the bond that unites us with God and with one another, bringing harmony and reflecting his grace. When we let our actions and attitudes be rooted in the profound truth that God first loved us, we are empowered to love in return.
March 25: Loving God and Others
- Bible Verse: “And he said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’” – Matthew 22:37-39 (ESV)
- Context: In Matthew 22, Jesus gives a parable, answers some trick questions from the religious leaders, and summarizes the law by pointing to wholehearted love for God as the greatest commandment. This sets the foundation for a life built on love.
- Prayer: Lord, teach me to love you with all my heart, soul, and mind. Let my life reflect a deep devotion to you.
March 26: Loving One Another as Christ Loves
- Bible Verse: “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” – John 13:34-35 (ESV)
- Context: John 13 describes Jesus’ teaching on the night of his betrayal. As part of his lessons, he commands his disciples to love one another, modeling his sacrificial love as the standard.
- Prayer: Lord, help me love others as you have loved me. Let my actions and words reflect the love you have shown to me.
March 27: Love Covers All
- Bible Verse: “Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.” – 1 Peter 4:8 (ESV)
- Context: In 1 Peter 4, believers are reminded that they will face many trials and are urged to live in harmony and extend grace to one another, emphasizing the transformative power of love.
- Prayer: Father, teach me to love earnestly and extend grace to others. Let my love reflect your forgiveness and mercy.
March 28: Love Reflects God
- Bible Verse: “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.” – 1 John 4:7 (ESV)
- Context: In 1 John 4, the apostle John emphasizes the centrality of love as evidence of a true relationship with God, as God himself is love.

March 29: Embodying Love’s Qualities
- Bible Verse: “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.” – 1 Corinthians 13:4-6 (ESV)
- Context: In 1 Corinthians 13, Paul describes the qualities of love, showing that true love reflects God’s character and surpasses all spiritual gifts.
- Prayer: Father, help me embody the love described in your word. Teach me patience, kindness, and humility in every interaction.
March 30: Love Brings Unity
- Bible Verse: “And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.” – Colossians 3:14 (ESV)
- Context: Colossians 3 instructs believers on Christian living, highlighting love as the virtue that unites and perfects all others.
- Prayer: Lord, clothe me with love that brings harmony and unity. Let my actions and attitudes glorify you and bless others.
March 31: Loving Because God Loved Us First
- Bible Verse: “We love because he first loved us.” – 1 John 4:19 (ESV)
- Context: In 1 John 4, believers are reminded that God’s love is the source and model of our love for others.
- Prayer: Father, thank you for loving me first. Help me to live out that love in a way that honors you and draws others closer to your heart.
