Prayer is a powerful way to connect with God, grow in faith, and intercede for others. This month, you are invited to join me in a journey through a series of intentional prayers grouped by themes:
- Growing in Love and Compassion
- Reflecting on God’s Character
- Prayers for Personal Growth
- Interceding for Others
Each day includes a Bible verse and a short prayer to guide your conversation with God. Whether you are seeking to deepen your relationship with him, reflect on his character, or lift up others, this guide offers a framework for daily prayer.
ACTS Prayer Method
Consider taking the suggested topic and/or verse of the day and praying using the ACTS method: Adoration, Confession, Thankfulness, and Supplication:
- Adoration: Praise God. Does this topic/verse bring any specific characteristics of God to mind?
- Confession: Tell God that you are sorry for specific sins. Does this topic/verse bring any specific sins to mind?
- Thankfulness: Show gratitude towards God. Does this topic/verse inspire gratitude?
- Supplication: Make requests for yourself and for others. Does this topic/verse inspire a prayer?

Days 1–7: Growing in Love and Compassion
Loving others as Christ loves us is a foundation of our faith, so what better month to reflect on this than the month of love! In the first week of February, we will focus on cultivating love, compassion, forgiveness, and mercy toward others. Whether it’s a kind word, a patient attitude, or extending grace to someone difficult to love, we always have the opportunity to reflect God’s love to the world around us.
February 1: Pray to Love Others as Christ Loves Us
- Bible Verse: “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” – John 13:35 (ESV)
- Prayer: Lord, help me to love others selflessly and sacrificially, reflecting the love you have shown me.
February 2: Pray for a Heart of Forgiveness
- Bible Verse: “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” – Ephesians 4:31-32 (ESV)
- Prayer: Father, teach me to forgive others as you have forgiven me. Soften my heart toward those who have hurt me and help me extend grace freely.
February 3: Pray for Compassion for the Hurting
- Bible Verse: “Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.” – Romans 12:15 (ESV)
- Prayer: Lord, give me a heart that feels deeply for others. Help me show your compassion to those in pain.
February 4: Pray for Kindness in Tangible Action
- Bible Verse: “And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.” – Luke 6:31 (ESV)
- Prayer: Father, allow my actions reflect your kindness. Help me treat others with respect and care.
February 5: Pray to Love Your Enemies
- Bible Verse: “But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven.” – Matthew 5:44-45a (ESV)
- Prayer: Lord, teach me to love even those who are difficult to love. Help me to pray sincerely for my enemies.
February 6: Pray for a Heart of Mercy
- Bible Verse: “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.” – Matthew 5:7 (ESV)
- Prayer: Father, create in me a merciful heart that mirrors your compassion and forgiveness.
February 7: Pray for Patience in Relationships
- Bible Verse: “I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” – Ephesians 4:1-3 (ESV)
- Prayer: Lord, help me to be patient and understanding, especially when relationships become challenging.
Days 8–14: Reflecting on God’s Character
In the second week of February, let’s take time to reflect on who God is—his unchanging nature, his holiness, and his goodness. Meditating on God’s character not only inspires awe and gratitude, but also strengthens our trust in him. As we pray, let the beauty of God’s attributes encourage and deepen our relationship with him.
February 8: Praise God for His Faithfulness
- Bible Verse: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV)
- Prayer: Lord, I praise you for your steadfast love and faithfulness, which never waver.

February 9: Thank God for His Goodness
- Bible Verse: “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!” – Psalm 34:8 (ESV)
- Prayer: Father, thank you for your goodness and the refuge you provide. Help me to rest in your care.
February 10: Reflect on God’s Holiness
- Bible Verse: “And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say, ‘Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!’” – Revelation 4:8 (ESV)
- Prayer: Lord, your holiness is beyond comprehension. Help me to live in awe of your majesty.
February 11: Celebrate God’s Power
- Bible Verse: “Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.” – Psalm 147:5 (ESV)
- Prayer: Father, I celebrate your unmatched power and wisdom. You are mighty to save and sustain.
February 12: Thank God for His Justice
- Bible Verse: “For the Lord loves justice; he will not forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.” – Psalm 37:28 (ESV)
- Prayer: Lord, thank you for being a God of justice, one who sees the suffering of your people. Help me to trust in your perfect judgment.
February 13: Rejoice in God’s Peace
- Bible Verse: “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” – Isaiah 26:3 (ESV)
- Prayer: Father, thank you for the perfect peace that you offer. Help me fix my mind on you in trust.
February 14: Praise God for His Love
- Bible Verse: “For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die—but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:7-8 (ESV)
- Prayer: Jesus, thank you for your sacrificial love that saved me, a sinner. Help me live in gratitude and share your love with others.
Days 15–21: Prayers for Personal Growth
Personal growth is another essential aspect of our walk with God. In the third week of February, our prayers will focus on cultivating wisdom, humility, boldness, and perseverance in faith. By seeking God’s guidance, strength, and transformation, we can grow into the people he has called us to be. Let’s invite God to work into every area of our lives.
February 15: Pray for Wisdom
- Bible Verse: “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” – James 1:5 (ESV)
- Prayer: Lord, grant me wisdom in my decisions today. Help me walk in your truth.
February 16: Pray for Humility
- Bible Verse: “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.” – James 4:10 (ESV)
- Prayer: Father, teach me to walk humbly before you, trusting in your perfect plan.
February 17: Pray for Spiritual Strength
- Bible Verse: “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” – Philippians 4:13 (ESV)
- Prayer: Lord, strengthen me for the challenges I face today. I will rely on your power to carry me through.
February 18: Pray for Discernment
- Bible Verse: “Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:20-21 (ESV)
- Prayer: Father, help me to discern what is true and good, and to hold fast to your ways.
February 19: Pray for Boldness in Faith
- Bible Verse: “For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” – 2 Timothy 1:6-7 (ESV)
- Prayer: Lord, give me boldness in sharing my faith and living out your truth.
February 20: Pray for Joy in Trials
- Bible Verse: “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” – Romans 12:12 (ESV)
- Prayer: Father, help me find joy in the midst of trials, trusting in your greater plan.
February 21: Pray for Perseverance
- Bible Verse: “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9 (ESV)
- Prayer: Lord, give me the strength to persevere in doing good, trusting that you will bring a harvest in time.
Days 22–28: Interceding for Others
As believers, we are called to intercede for those around us. In the last week of February, let’s lift up prayers for those who are hurting, lonely, sick, or lost. We will pray for leaders, the persecuted church, and for unity within the body of Christ. These days can be a reminder of the power and privilege we have to bring the needs of others before God, and the blessings that he has given us.
February 22: Pray for Those in Need of Comfort
- Bible Verse: “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18 (ESV)
- Prayer: Lord, be near to those who are hurting. Comfort their hearts and remind them of your steadfast love.
February 23: Pray for the Sick
- Bible Verse: “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.” – James 5:14-15a (ESV)
- Prayer: Father, I lift up those who are sick. Bring them healing, peace, and strength through your power.
February 24: Pray for the Lonely
- Bible Verse: “God settles the solitary in a home; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.” – Psalm 68:6 (ESV)
- Prayer: Lord, be with those who feel lonely. Surround them with your presence and place them in loving communities.
February 25: Pray for the Lost
- Bible Verse: “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” – Luke 19:10 (ESV)
- Prayer: Father, I pray for those who do not know you. Draw them to yourself and open their hearts to your truth.
February 26: Pray for Those Facing Persecution
- Bible Verse: “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” – Matthew 5:10 (ESV)
- Prayer: Lord, strengthen and protect your children who face persecution. Give them courage and the hope of your kingdom.
February 27: Pray for Leaders
- Bible Verse: “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.” – 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (ESV)
- Prayer: Father, guide our leaders to make just and wise decisions. Help them to lead with integrity and compassion.
February 28: Pray for Unity in the Church
- Bible Verse: “I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.” – 1 Corinthians 1:10 (ESV)
- Prayer: Lord, heal fractured relationships and bring unity to your church. Help us work together in love and harmony so that we can glorify your name together.
